The purpose of this role is to operate the process area in accordance with work instructions, carry out non-destructive quality checks and perform routine maintenance in the brewing department. The Process Artisan primarily focuses on the team's asset care activities as well as being multi-skilled in order to provide support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operation of the fermentation process area according to work instructions and adherence to standards of use
Perform required quality checks as described in the Quality Control and Analysis Work Practice
Record waste inappropriate documentation or information systems, and review waste trends to identify problems or opportunities in a timely manner
Perform in-depth cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of the machines according to the work instructions, and follow the schedules provided by the maintenance chart
Perform routine maintenance work according to a maintenance schedule
When routine maintenance reveals bigger problems, and the crafting process fails to solve them, they must be escalated to the team leader
Participation in maintenance and cleaning days
This work should be carried out to support the maintenance support team and according to the schedule issued by the maintenance plan
Participation in post-mortem maintenance should be done to support maintenance specialist support
Observe trends when performing routine maintenance
When trends indicate underlying problems, corrective actions should be quality controlled and analyses performed
When problems occur, apply appropriate methods (eg, 5 years, quick repair procedures, etc.) to identify and correct the problem
When the craftsman is unable to solve the problem, involve fellow team members or escalate to the team leader if necessary
When solving problems, check if problems are solved
The craftsman in the process should involve other team members in evaluating opportunities and calling in specialized resources for help if needed
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Electrical Engineer or equivalent
6-12 minimum in job training
2 years experience in the FMCG environment
Experience in the food industry or fermentation environment
Good understanding of VPO's principles
