Strategy Head
Job summary
Responsible for obtaining and evaluating the information on industry and market trends, competitive threats, business opportunities that can be addressed, and developing long-term growth plans and profitability goals. The incumbent must align themselves to be aware of potential changes in the market that may affect any areas of the company's operations. In addition, they must learn and understand the internal culture and capabilities of the bank so that they can execute appropriately.
Basic tasks:
Leadership:
Provide leadership to strategy management teams and develop strategic and transformational moves across the business.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic business objectives insensitive and high-value business development activities.
Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration and support executive leadership and stakeholders in developing business strategies, including long-term goals and objectives.
Support business leaders across the Bank in resolving high-priority operational issues by advancing communications and developing appropriate strategies and objectives.
Definition of Strategy/Planning/Performance Management:
Lead the design of strategy across various high-value business projects within the business.
Lead the strategic planning process and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders during strategy formulation, development and implementation.
Develop annual strategies and goals, and establish benchmarks to continually monitor the performance of identified strategies, identify deficiencies, and leverage actionable solutions.
Recommend expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, and establish a regional and international presence.
Collaborate with line managers, senior management and stakeholders across the Bank to ensure that strategies are aligned with the overall business strategy.
Collaborate with the Program Office to drive key strategic initiatives of the business in various bank projects.
Establish monitoring frameworks to ensure that the implementation of all Bank initiatives is in line with the strategic direction, and implement interventions and remedies for any initiatives that go off track.
Analytics:
Define the analytical and financial frameworks of the business in order to conduct analyzes and solve important business issues.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of business opportunities through potential business analysis, including competitive analysis, financial analysis, market analysis, performance analysis, technology platforms, and strategic fit.
Provide senior management and other stakeholders with important insights and feedback on various analyzes in the form of reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
communication:
Develop a communication framework to put the Bank in place and share the Bank's progress with various stakeholders.
Engaging with various external and internal dialogues of stakeholders to exchange experiences and gather strategic information that helps the Bank in shaping its direction.
Ensure that the bank's strategies are scaled down for all employees and understandable.
Skills, both linguistic and written, are prerequisites for a Head of Strategy. In addition, the Head of Strategy will also need to have equally good listening skills.
Experience, knowledge and skills requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management Finance, Economics, or any other relevant equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years working experience, and for 5 years in a Strategy Management position in a dynamic fast paced environment.
The candidate must have consulting experience with executive management and a demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and matrix business environment.
Extensive experience leading teams through various projects across the business.
Hands-on experience Demonstrating expertise in addressing sensitive business issues by conducting analyzes and implementing appropriate strategic measures to address problems.
Must have well-proven hands-on experience in organization change, growth strategy implementation, strategic planning, and complex analysis.
