Job purpose
To ensure proper documentation services by providing effective information and documentation to support the work of the Tribunal.
main functions
Implementation of the digitization project for lawsuit files and administrative records.
Coordination with court clerks and legal staff on priority issues for digitization
Upload documents into the knowledge management system and the common AU repository-specific responsibilities
Digitize existing and archival administrative documents and review scanned files and update or scan them as necessary for easy retrieval.
Upload scanned final judicial decisions in the African Union Common Repository
Back up all scanned documents in a safe location (preferably off-site) in the event of a disaster.
Monitor the quality of information obtained in digital form and ensure confidentiality of confidential information.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations of African Union policies relating to document and records management;
Optimize/restore the size of large files to the required size in the electronic case management system.
Perform any other duties as required.
Academic requirements and relevant experience
Advanced Certificate in Secondary Education and Diploma in Records Management, Archival/Documentation Studies, and Information Management from a recognized educational institution.
A higher qualification (undergraduate degree or postgraduate diploma) in any of the disciplines listed above would be an added advantage;
Computer and IT skills are essential;
At least five (5) years of professional experience in the field of digitization, archiving and indexing, document management or operating heavy-duty scanners or multifunctional copiers, preferably in an international organization.

Appointment Duration:
Appointment to this position must be on the basis of a one-year fixed-term contract. After that, the contract can be renewed for the same period provided satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Compensation:
The gross salary for this position should be $49367.20 (GSA4 Grade, Step 5 - International) per year for internationally recruited employees, and $18679.28 (GSA4 Grade, Step 5 - Domestic) per year for locally recruited employees. This global salary includes all allowances
