business purpose
Assist in carrying out daily financial and accounting activities.
Main functions
Participation in the preparation of accounting documents.
Assist in maintaining and updating financial records;
Assist in maintaining accounting databases by ensuring timely transactions are migrated to accounting software and processing necessary backups;
Maintain records of all incoming financial support documents and ensure that they are completed correctly;
Assistance in verifying various financial transactions.
specific responsibilities
Prepare payments and ensure that all payment documents are filled out and filed correctly.
Post the various financial transactions in the SAP system and make the necessary reconciliations to the general ledger.
Ensure the timely submission, collection and completion of all receipts from service providers and service providers paid by the court;
Assistance in conducting monthly bank reconciliations;
Assist in monitoring financial obligations in accordance with relevant appropriations and approved financial regulations;
Participate in the production of management account reports;
Petty cash management office
Preparing and controlling the organization's VAT returns
Participation in internal and external audit exercises.
Perform any other related job as assigned.
Academic requirements and relevant experience
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education and Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
Having a higher qualification in the field for which you are applying will be an added advantage
At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in a similar position, preferably in an international organisation.

Appointment Duration:
Appointment will be made through an ordinary contract for a period of three (3) years, of which the first twelve months will be considered as a trial period. Thereafter, the contract will be for a period of two years, renewable, subject to satisfactory performance and results.

Languages:

Compensation:
Indicative base salary of $15,758.00 per year plus other related rights eg Post adjustment (42% of base salary), Housing Benefit ($1,401.12 per month), Education Benefit (100% of fees) School for a maximum of US$10,000.00 per child per year for a maximum of four (4) children up to a maximum of 21 years old), Spouse Allowance (5% of base salary), Child Allowance (US$250 per year per child up to four (4) children) A maximum of 21 years, etc. as per the rules and regulations governing international civil servants of the African Union.
