Job Title: Office Driver

Location: Tanzania

The main objective of the recruitment is to fill the following position:

Provide driving support to the organization, adhering to standard driving regulations and the Tanzanian Roads Act.

Job Requirements: (Education and Qualifications)

Leadership-based vocational training (preferred);

Fluency in English and the local language.

Excellent knowledge of the city and the main roads of Tanzania;

At least 3 years of professional driving experience.

Core competencies/skills:

A valid class B driver's license for at least 3 years;

Being over 18 years;

Demonstrable defensive driving skills (in the city and on dirt roads);

good communication skills;

Basic routine maintenance and vehicle driving skills;

Excellent knowledge of the city and major roads in Tanzania and (state) in particular;

Willingness to be flexible and willing to contribute to the company in other tasks as needed.

Job Role and Responsibility:

Perform daily vehicle checks and immediately report maintenance needs;

drive carefully and safely at all times in accordance with international driving standards, and carry out checks to ensure the safety of passengers, other road users and the vehicle in their charge;

Ensure all vehicle reports are approved and prepared weekly; Provide records of fuel and maintenance costs to supervisor on or before scheduled dates

maintain a professional appearance by ensuring good personal hygiene and wearing a clean, pressed uniform at all times;

Ensuring that sufficient knowledge of the destination and route is gathered prior to departure;

keep the assigned vehicle in a clean and drivable condition at all times;

Make sure you always get approval for repairs before you move the car into the garage;

Ensure compliance with the transport policy for the use of vehicles;

Establishes good and considerate working relationships with all employees in the organization, demonstrating respect for their roles and responsibilities;

Be available outside of normal business hours in case of emergency and during assignments;

Carry out work assignments in counties other than regular locations with an overnight assignment if necessary;

Ensure compliance with local administrative procedures required in the event of an accident;

Be responsible for the equipment in the vehicle;
