In order to support our expansion process, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Legal Department as a Junior Legal Advisor.

Position: Junior Legal Advisor

Duties and responsibilities:

Execute the operations of the Banks in accordance with the law and that the interest of the Banks is fully protected at all times.

Legal Representation in Courts of Justice for the defense and prosecution of civil lawsuits in the best interest of the bank.

Coordination, support and implementation of recovery activities that include; assisting in conducting investigations, providing technical guidance in handling recoveries; update the status of Credit and Recovery of court orders that restrict the bank. Follow up closely to see if the bank gets your money back.

Represent the Bank in Auctions and Coordinate with the Auctioneers to ensure that the respective guarantees are auctioned according to the law and banking procedure. Manage customer interactions to maximize cash recoveries and ensure recovery action is appropriate to customer circumstances

Manage daily activities, schedules, journals, and team documents as needed, and have a strong ability to prioritize multiple requirements while being an excellent team player.

Provide rapid response and work with the utmost discretion and confidentiality and provide effective positive feedback/reports to your supervisor on the status of legal activities.

Selection criteria and qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in the same field.

Honest person with high integrity and independence who will observe professional ethics in the performance of their duties.

Registered Lawyer of the High Court of Tanzania.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer programs.

Ability to work well independently and with others.

Ability to prioritize tasks according to their importance to AMBT's operations and strategic objectives.

Ability and willingness to learn and improve at work.

Analytical, proactive and team player.
