Air conditioning technician

Job purpose:

This position is responsible for all scheduled preventative maintenance and malfunctions on all air conditioners, general power and lighting as directed by the direct supervisor and coach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Complies with all FIS&E policies, procedures, and instructions. This includes the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment, prompt reporting of any hazardous situations they are unable to correct themselves, making necessary changes to eliminate or control the hazard and prompt reporting of any accident or injury arising in the course of their work.

Complies with all Company policies and procedures as displayed and amended from time to time.

He shall take reasonable care of his own safety and the safety of other persons who may be affected by their actions.

Performs pre-start checks and SWICs.

Ensure that inspections and maintenance are carried out on all equipment prior to use.

Ensures that all tools are serviceable and safe.

It should reduce equipment downtime and increase productivity.

Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.

Contact the camp manager:

Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner;

Advise when items of equipment are out of service and when they can be returned to service.

Performs maintenance schedule and electrical repairs in a safe manner.

Carries out all repairs in accordance with AUMS procedures.

Completes all service paperwork and documents additional repairs performed during service.

Maintains a high standard of housekeeping in work areas at all times.

Read and interpret service and parts manuals.

Advise the direct supervisor on the parts used and any additional requirements for the parts.

Inform the supervisor of all errors as soon as possible.

Basic requirements:

Recognized commercial qualification as an electrical and refrigeration technician.

Strong background working in the electrical industry

Able to operate all kinds of hand tools.

Understanding of maintenance procedures Ability to read blueprints.

Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.

The desire to learn and gain more experience with everything is high effort.

Valid driver's license.

Basic knowledge of first aid

Above average in arithmetic and oral/written English
