New Job at AB InBev/ Tanzania Breweries Limited, Event Merchandizer

 Position: Event Marketer

The key purpose of the Event Merchandiser role is to be the custodian of all event-related activities. This includes overseeing and executing events, recruiting new events, implementing new security strategies and programs (5s). The event marketer is the backbone between the other commercial field sales team and the marketing/trade marketing team. They will be required to provide real-time feedback on competitor ideas, activities and information and to be able to execute and coordinate events with the designated channel, organizer of any event-related activity.

Roles and responsibilities:

Plan and develop marketing strategies that meet consumer expectations and company objectives.

Collaborate with event organizers, buyers and suppliers, distributors to negotiate prices, quantities and terms according to the nature of the events.

Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately based on the nature of events.

Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, and closeouts

Build constructive relationships with customers and support channel partners, e.g. commercial

Produce layout plans for stores and maintain 5s and inventory.

Stay current with industry best practices and standards

Control and monitor the movement and stock of equipment for events.

Quality of execution of the plan in merchandising and promotion

Qualifications and experience:

College/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and any other business-related field

Sales experience preferred, however not required, minimum 3 years of work experience • English proficiency essential

Advanced computer skills with specific reference to Excel and PowerPoint.

Must possess a valid driver's license

Experience working in large teams is an added bonus Critical skills needed for success in this position

Coordination capacity among multiple stakeholders

English and local language (if applicable) as working language, other languages ​​are an advantage

Flexibility in travel within the country
